Today we were training and one of our students said, “I used to be able to call my son when I first gave him a cell phone. Now I have to text him, ‘pls call me... just fyi, I have your a set of your car keys.’ Then he’ll call me back. I almost have no choice but to text.”
Parents, regardless of age, are grasping the texting trend.
“Some 43 percent of kids say they text in class, and 17 percent say they do it constantly.
More than half of kids are texting their friends who are sitting in the same classroom. And 66 percent of kids said they receive messages from mom and dad.”
