How to Send to a Group 

This video shows you how to send a message to a large number of contacts at the same time. Several keyboard shortcuts are highlighted. Topics covered are:

 

-The number on the left of the TO: field shows how many contacts your message will be sent to

-Messages sent to more than 5 contacts are called Group Sends

-Single clicking a contact opens the Phonebook

-Double clicking a contact opens the Edit Contact box

-Use Tab or Shift+Tab keystrokes to move between fields

-Use the Spacebar to select / enter

-Use Escape key to exit the Add New Contact or Edit Contact boxes

-Contacts appearing in Red are marked Stop All and will not go out

-Contacts appearing in Brown are marked Stop Promotions and will not go out if this is a Group Send

-Use the 1st, Full & My Card HotKeys to quickly compose your Message

-If you want your message to be delivered as just one text, then it must be 160 characters or less

-On some phones, messages longer then 160 characters will be delivered as two or even three texts

-The number to the left of the Message field shows how many separate texts it may take to deliver your message (it depends on the type of phone)

-Use Control+Shift+Spacebar keystroke to send your message

-When sending to a Group of 6 or more contacts, ALWAYS accept the 3 default "NO" settings for the Group Send Options unless, you have a really good reason to over-ride them
