How Can My Team Best Use the Promotions Menu?

You can compose and save up to 8 Promotional texts that can be easily accessed by all Users on your team via the Promotions [ $ ] button located in the middle of the Messenger. Company-wide Promotions, such as a 2-for-1 deal or a special coupon for repeat customers, can be posted in your Preferences > Promotions window and will be immediately available for all team members to use.  Promotional texts will appear as Pink bubbles in the conversation history.  Promotional texts to 6 or more contacts becomes a Group Send and will be hidden behind the most recent in or outbound message for each contact, so as not to interfere with ongoing ‘live’ conversations.

 

When composing your Promotional texts, we highly recommend that you insert the contact's [1st] or [Full] name into your text by clicking on the [1st] or [Full] buttons located on the upper right corner of the Promotions window.  This will Merge the contact's 1st or Full name into your Promotional texts so that when the recipient receives your text, they will see their real name inserted - giving your texts a more personal feel.

 

Promotions should always:

A)  Start with your Company Name so that your existing customers will know who the text is from and

B)  Conclude with the phrase "Reply STOP to end" so that recipients can easily Unsubscribe themselves if they find these texts annoying.  This 'Opt-Out phrase is required by law.  Please see this User’s Guide article or the Marketing Rules page for the legal reasons why this phrase is required.

 

Let's say that your company is receiving a lot of complaints on a particular defective product. You discover that there is plenty of stock available in the warehouse to upgrade customers that are still using the old, defective product. Write a Promotional text that will give angry customers the option to upgrade to the new product at a reduced price.   Now, whenever your service department hears this complaint come up, they can send out your pre-authorized solution which is already posted on the Team’s Promotions menu.  This way the customer satisfaction issue will always receive a standardized response.  Another idea would be to write each one of the 8 Team-wide Promotional texts to target their matching Sales Group number - allowing users to see ahead of time what the Marketing Department plans to send to the customers in each Sales Group.
