What Phonebook Filters Can I Use to Help Me Target a Specific Audience?

There are 10 Phonebook filters that can be applied in any order - even all 10 of them at the same time - to help you find the exact contacts that fit your criteria. When sending out a Promotion to a large group of contacts, it is important to target your audience carefully so that you don’t bother disinterested customers with advertisements that would not apply to them. The following tools will allow you to filter precisely for those customers who would most likely respond favorably to your marketing efforts. By keeping your Promotional lists focused, you will avoid annoying an unnecessarily large number contacts - who might respond by Unsubscribing themselves from your company’s texting service.

The 10 Phonebook Filters are:

1)  Date Added to the Phonebook

2)  Date Last Texted - the Last Inbound Received from the Customer

3)  The general Name / Mobile # search field at the top of the Phonebook

4)  Display [All] Selected Contacts toggles ON-OFF to show you a ‘Shopping Cart’ Preview of all contacts that have been selected - they will have an orange circle with an orange highlight over them

5)  Contacts marked with a Flag

6)  Contacts marked Stop All

7)  Specify a 3-digit area code (prefix)

8)  Contacts Assigned To A Specific User

9)  Pick a Sales Group or My Group

10)  Look-up by Last Name using the vertical Alphabet Index

Click [All] to Display Your Final Contact Selections

You can apply these 10 filters simultaneously to help locate the desired contact or groups of contacts. After you have selected all the contacts that fit your criteria, you can preview your selections in one place by simply pressing the [ALL] button on the Phonebook toolbar. This Displays [All] Selected Contacts and  toggles between ON-OFF states. When the [ALL] button is ON (appearing dark orange), the Phonebook will only list those contacts that are currently selected - much like a 'Shopping Cart' preview page - allowing you to confirm your selections before you commit to them. When the [ALL] button is in the ON state (darkened), the other 9 Phonebook filters are temporarily ignored.  You can return to using the other Phonebook filters by clicking the [ALL] button again to toggle it OFF. When planning a promotional group send to a large number of contacts, we highly recommend using this Display [All] Selected Contacts button to carefully review and edit your selections. Once you have finalized your contact selections, you might consider creating a new My Group and using your mouse to Drag and Drop this list into the new My Group to save the list in case you need it later. Then you can move these contacts into the Messenger by clicking the blue TO: button on the Phonebook toolbar.
